Children and Young Peoples Worker

Part time – 28 hours per week

(Temporary contract until December 2010, (funding being sought to continue)

The Dunblane Centre is a community owned facility, run by the Dunblane Youth & Sports Centre Trust, a registered Scottish charity (No. SC027397). We provide a range of activities including: regular youth clubs; indoor sports; leisure, fitness, arts and music classes; and social events – all for a variety of age groups.

 

A dynamic youth worker with a proven track record is required to lead and develop a broad programme of youth activities and to manage volunteers. They should be flexible, imaginative, with excellent people skills and used to working in a community setting. The post will involve evening and some weekend working. They will have at least two years experience in a relevant setting.

 

You will hold a relevant qualification or have extensive experience working in a youth work environment. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and experience of managing programmes/budgets would also be advantageous.

 

This role will suit someone who enjoys being part of a small, dedicated team and who will appreciate working in a very special place. You will have a friendly, outgoing personality, good communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

 

Appointments to this post will be conditional on a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Scotland screening.
